Gravel bike holidays in the Fuschlsee region

You are spoilt for choice between six communities in the Fuschlsee region. But no matter which of the idyllic towns around Lake Fuschl you choose for your gravel holiday, they all have one thing in common: their central location in the Salzkammergut and their proximity to the magnificent Mozart city of Salzburg! This means that on a gravel bike holiday in the Fuschlsee region, culture & cuisine as well as mountains & lake are always just a stone's throw - or a cross-country bike tour - away.

Find your favourite gravel bike tour @Fuschlsee

The Salzkammergut enjoys the best reputation as a road bike region with its 6,000 km road network. But the Salzkammergut and the Fuschlsee region can also impress as a gravel bike destination away from the tarmac. Gravel tours with some of the most beautiful panoramas in the whole of SalzburgerLand can be discovered around Lake Fuschl. With breathtaking views towards the Schober, the azure waters of Lake Fuschl and outstanding roads. Varied routes lead to kitschy, beautiful alpine pastures and crystal-clear lakes with drinking water quality. The eponymous Fuschlsee, which is somewhat smaller at 4.1 km long and 0.9 km wide, is one of the cleanest lakes in the whole of SalzburgerLand. The absolute motorboat ban on the entire lake ensures undisturbed tranquillity, a rich variety of fish and its very special, unique charm.

Highlights for your gravel bike holiday

  • Mountain meets lake, countryside meets city: from the shores of Lake Fuschl directly to Salzburg
  • Strubklamm meets Gaisberg Gravel Achter - over almost 40 km from picturesque Hintersee via mountain trails & idyllic villages through the hinterland to the historic city limits
  • Challenging Fuschlsee gravel adventure to the Schafbachalm (70 km/1,820 m)
