Hintersee circular trail
Gravel bike tour from Fuschl am See / SalzburgerLand / Austria
Hintersee circular trail
The Hintersee circular route is a varied gravel bike tour covering 42.6 kilometres and 590 metres in altitude. The first part of the route leads through a picturesque landscape towards Hintersee, an idyllic body of water just outside Salzburg. The tranquil atmosphere and the possibility of combining the tour with other routes such as the Strubklamm gorge make this section particularly rewarding. The route continues along the Strubklamm road, which provides a real sense of adventure with its spectacular scenery and tunnels carved into the rock. After a further climb, an impressive view of Lake Fuschl opens up, framed by the imposing peaks of the Schafberg and the Schober. The last few kilometres run alongside the turquoise-coloured Fuschlsee, whose crystal-clear water makes for a perfect finale.
