Schönenbach round trip
The Schönenbach tour is a demanding gravel bike tour over 74.3 kilometres with a crisp 1,860 metres in altitude - a real challenge for ambitious riders. Despite the demanding distance, the route is technically easy to ride but requires top fitness. Immediately after the start, there is a varied warm-up along the Bregenzer Ache - a fast section with plenty of flow and occasional opportunities to cool down. The ascent to the Sausteig pass at 1,038 metres then takes its toll, but rewards you with magnificent views. On the way to the mountain village of Schönenbach, the route then rolls more quickly again before the next long climb awaits. Schönenbach itself is a perfect spot for a break. The Jagdgasthaus Egender serves legendary Käsknöpfle, ideal for an energy boost. This is followed by the ascent to the Stoggersattel, a final endurance test before the final descent. The reward: a speedy route with magnificent views of Au Rehmen.
