This tour in the Dolomites is a MUST. Whether it's the beautiful landscape or the social media hype. If you were travelling alone here 10 years ago, today you can only dream about it! The whole world now knows this place. The tour is relatively long, but you can also take the train to Villabassa or Dobbiaco instead of the Val Pusteria cycle path. From here, the route continues along Lake Dobbiaco towards Lake Dürrensee with a great view of the Three Peaks on the old railway line towards Cortina. You will pass old bunkers and a military cemetery that commemorate the First and Second World Wars. In Schluderbach, you also have the option of cycling to Lake Misurina. However, we take this tour to the right via an old military road up to Plätzwiese at 2000 metres. A beautiful high plateau with many cosy huts and usually lots of people! Then a rapid descent on tarmac awaits you down into the Braies Valley. Here, too, you have alternative routes on challenging gravel paths. In Schmieden, you can then decide to cycle home on the Pustertal Valley cycle path, via Welsberg and many small villages and along the Olang reservoir to Bruneck or take a detour to the Pragser Wildsee lake. Which, as announced, is part of the compulsory programme. If the tour is too long for you, you can get back on the train in Monguelfo and take a relaxing ride to Brunico North and then take the cycle path back to Hotel Innerhofer or Gisse Zwölf in Gais.
