Piz de Plaies circumnavigation
The Piz de Plaies circuit is a challenging but rewarding gravel tour with 860 metres of elevation gain over 25.6 kilometres. Starting from San Vigilio, the route climbs steadily uphill past gentle forest slopes and picturesque Alpine pastures, while the view opens up to the imposing peaks of the Fanes region. The route continues to spectacular viewpoints, including the impressive Peitlerkofel, which dominates the landscape with its striking shape. A particular highlight is the section through the traditional Enneberg Pfarre, where the Ladin culture is still authentically lived. From there, the route leads back along quiet roads, accompanied by magnificent views of the Dolomites - a perfect mix of nature, culture and sporting challenge.
