Dolomites cycle path
The Dolomites cycle path is a challenging gravel tour with impressive views of the Dolomites. The route covers 41.4 kilometres and requires a very good level of fitness. The route is mostly on paved paths and follows an old railway line that leads through several tunnels and over viaducts. After just seven kilometres, you reach the first former railway tunnel near Fiames. The section between Dobbiaco and Cortina is particularly spectacular with magnificent panoramic views. Between Carbonin and Lake Lander there is an impressive view of the Cristallo Group. The route continues through historic railway tunnels with gentle climbs and magnificent views. Despite the challenge, the tour is worthwhile for anyone who wants to experience the beauty of the Dolomites up close. Good preparation is recommended in order to enjoy the tour to the full.
