Dobbiaco Lake
The tour to Lake Dobbiaco is a challenging gravel tour through the impressive landscape of the Dolomites. With a distance of 60.2 kilometres and almost 1,000 metres in altitude, it is only suitable for cyclists in very good physical condition. The route runs along a former railway line and passes through several historic tunnels, including the railway tunnel at Fiames. The section between Dobbiaco and Cortina is particularly spectacular, leading through breathtaking panoramas, viaducts and deep gorges. One of the highlights is Lake Dobbiaco, one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Dolomites. However, the water is ice-cold, so only the hardy will swim in it. The route continues with fantastic views of the Cristallo Group before the cycle path leads through several tunnels again.
