On side roads through the former centre of Carinthia. In the Middle Ages, Karnburg was the centre of Carantania, today's Carinthia. More than 2000 years ago, the Magdalensberg formed the political, economic and cultural centre of the Noric kingdom and was later also an important Roman settlement. Today, one of the largest Roman archaeological sites in the Eastern Alps can be found on the 1054 m high Magdalensberg. This tour also takes you past various historical sites such as Hochosterwitz Castle, Maria Saal and the Carinthian Herzogstuhl.
