Easter horn round
The Osterhornrunde is an epic gravel bike tour for ambitious riders looking for a challenge. With 112 kilometres and 2,230 metres of elevation gain, it requires excellent fitness and a good balance of strength.
The first major ascent leads along a steep but scenically impressive forest road to the Genneralm, where a well-earned break with regional delicacies awaits. The route then continues through the beautiful Ackersbachtal valley, which lies to the south of the Gennerhorn and boasts stunning natural scenery. After around 45 kilometres, there is a strenuous section through the Ameiseggwald forest, where you can gain quite a few metres in altitude over several hairpin bends. Once you reach the top, you are rewarded with a magnificent view of the Seewaldsee lake, which serves as the perfect spot for a short break. The last few kilometres require more stamina, but the Höhenwald road with its beautiful hairpin bends makes for a pleasant and varied final phase.
